Global Week of Action website launched
July 2004
On July 5th the Global Week of Action website www.april2005.org was launched. This website contains everything you need to know in order to play an active part in the Week. The hope is that it will inspire tens of thousands more people all over the world to get involved in what could be the biggest global mobilisation we have seen.
As well as background information and answers to frequently asked questions, there are news items, resources and practical tips for getting more involved. Information about national contact points, endorsements for the Week and an events database will be added very soon. The site is currently in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
In order for the Global Week of Action to be successful as many organisations as possible need to endorse the call to action. National level organisations also need to take a lead in their own country to become national contact points and to register events. All of this can be done through the new site.
