Events at the European Social Forum, London, October 2004

Activists are invited to two Global Week of Action meetings around the European Social Forum. 20-40,000 people are expected in London from 15-17 this October.

Global Week of Action Seminar - G5 (translated)
Date : Friday 15th October, 9.00-12.00
Venue : Alexandra Palace - Mumbai

We have secured one of the ESF seminars for Global Week of Action. All are welcome to attend and we hope to have as broad representation from the different campaigns as possible – NGOs, unions, environmental groups, womens groups, solidarity campaigns, students, social movements.

The participatory seminar will look at

- Where the idea came from
- The aims of the Week and what we could achieve together
- What is being planned already in Europe and the rest of the world
- How we could work more closely together
- How to get more groups involved
- What different groups can do

Follow up meeting from the European Trade Campaign conference in July 2004. An opportnuity to share national and European level plans for the Week and to look further at outreach and co-ordination. If your organisation is already planning something for the Week of Action, please come to this meeting.
